Braxis appears as a Colossal twelve headed Hydra with glowing green eyes with shiny scales. Anyone with knowldge in arcane or psionics can easily tell (skill check DC 10) That this creature possess immense power. Each head has its own voice when he speaks he often uses every head at once. When combined with his telepathy a foe may be overwhelmed by the voices from inside and outside there head. Braxis is unique in the multi verse. His ultimate goal if he has one is a mystery. He is a seeker of knowledge
now just knowledge of ancient lore or magic. But sociological knowledge. He enjoys studding how various creatures react in certain situations. His favorite sociological subject if of course humans who possess the greatest variety of societies. Braxis dislikes taking a direct hand and often encouges the subjects into the disired situation. One example is he leads a group of orc raiders into a forgotten temple with the promises of great power locked with in. He then leads a group of adventures on a quest to route the orcs before they can raid the shrouding villages. What both parties don’t know is the temple is infested by horrible monsters such as Deep Ones and other servants of the Great Old Ones.
His origin is unknown but rumors of his origin are abound. Some believe him to be one of the Great One Ones. Some say he was the result of a mind flayer experiment. Others believe he was born out the astral plane. The last theory is he was human once but “ascended” ot his current form.
Fast Healing (Ex): Each round, Braxis heals 22 hit points of Damage.
Improved Scent (Ex): The creature can detect opponents within 120 feet by sense of smell. If the opponent is upwind, the range increases to 120 feet; if downwind, it drops to 30 feet. Strong scents, such as smoke or rotting garbage, can be detected at twice the ranges noted above. Overpowering scents, such as skunk musk or troglodyte stench, can be detected at triple normal range. The creature can pinpoint locations only within 10 feet. This creature can follow tracks by smell with a Wisdom check (DC 10, +2 for every hour the trail is cold).
Tongues (Ex:) Braxis can understand and speak all languages.
Reflective Hide (Su): While Braxis’s hide is rather weak for a creature his size it is highly reflective, deflecting all rays, lines, cones, and even magic missile spells. There is a 40% chance of reflecting any such effect back at the caster; otherwise, it is merely negated. Check for reflection before rolling to overcome the creature’s spell resistance.
Frightful Presence (Su): The Braxis can inspire terror by charging or attacking. Affected creatures must succeed on a DC 37 Will save or become shaken, remaining in that condition as long as they remain with 60 feet of the Braxis. The save DC is Charisma-based.
Human Form (Sp): Braxis is capable of assuming a human form. This form is fixed and unchanging. It is that of a young bald man with several ceremonial tattoos. Legend has it that Braxis was human once an he meerly takes on the visage he abandon thousands of years away.
Superior low-light vision: Braxis sees five times as well as humans do in low light condioins and twice as well in normal light. He also possess darkvison with a range of 360ft
Mind-Blank: (Su): Braxis's mind is sealed from intrusion, weather this is from having twelve heads or simply a powerful mind know one but Braxis himself knows. In any event this duplicates the effect of Mind Blank as if manifested by a 32nd level psion.
