Dogma
Garthos was a cruel and brutial deity who delights in causing suffering and death on a massive scale. His followers would kill, loot and destory for its own sake. Garthos taught if you wanted something to take it and destory all who stood in your way. Make your enemies suffer for all the trouble they've caused you. Suffering and death are the meaning of life. Cause suffering, death and destruction or it shall be done unto you.
Clergy and Temples
Garthos had no temples in civliized lands. As few goverments would have accepted the worship of such a deity. In places where great acts of violance and death occured dark temples with razor spires would be built. In major cities the temples would often be underground in sewers or catacombs.
Even in today's age a few of his temples remain in hidden remote areas. Some still have mad cultists praying for the return of the god of slaughter. Should that day ever come the blood will run knee deep.
