Class Features
All of the following are class features of the Arcane Blade prestige Class
Weapon and Armor Proficiency: Arcane Blades are proficient with light armor and the Arcane Blade is always proficient with his Magic’s blade.
Spells per day/spells known: At each of the indicated Arcane Blade level, the character gains new spells per day (and spells known, if applicable) as if he had also gained a level in the arcane spellcasting class to which he belonged before adding the prestige class level. He does not, however, gain any other benefit a character of the class would have gained (such as improved familiar abilities, and so on.) If the character had more then one arcane spellcasting class before becoming a Arcane Blade, the player must decide to which class to add each Arcane Blade level for the purpose of determining spells per day and spells known.
Magic’s Blade: As a move-equivalent action, the arcane blade creates a semisolid blade composed of arcane magic. As long as he holds the blade, it is identical in all ways (expect visually) to a short sword and deals 1d6 piercing damage plus his strength mod. The blade can be broken; however, the arcane blade can simply create another on his next move-equivalent action. The moment he relinquishes his grip on the blade, it dissipates. The Arcane blade may take weapon Focus, weapon specialization ( if of the appropriate class ), or weapon finesse in conjunction with the Magic’s Blade. When the Arcane Blade reaches 2nd level, his magic’s blade gains a +1 enhancement Bonus; at 4th level, +2; at 6th level, +3; at 8th level, +4; at 10th level +5. The enhancement bonus applies to each Magic’s Blade created, including those that are throw, Improved, imbedded and mastered. Creating a Magic’s Blade is a supernatural ability.
Sneak Attack: A arcane bland can make sneak attacks exactly like a rough, but only with his magic’s blade. Any time the arcane’s target would be denied a desterity bouns to AC, the magic’s balde attack deals a +1d6 points of damamge. This extra damaga increase by +1d6 every other level (+2d6 at 3rd level, +3d6 at 5th level, and so on). See rouge description in chapter 3 of the player’s handbook for more information on sneak attacks.
Throw Magic’s Blade: At 2nd level, the soulknife can throw his magic’s blade as a ranged weapon with a rande increment of 30 feet. Whether of not the attack hits, a throw magic’s blade then dissipates. The arcane blade can make a sneak attack with a trhow mind-blade ( within 30 feet) and can use the blade in conjunction with other special abilities (such as imbedding a power in it).
Imbed Spell: at 4th level, the arcane blade can imbed any one spell that he knows in his arcane blade. This spell-like ability requires a move-equivalent action and the arcane blade must give up that spell slot for the day to inbed the spell. The spell that is imbedded into the magic’s blade must specify a target. Thus sleep is not eligible since it dose not affect a “target creature.” The imbedded spell automatically affects the next target that the arcane blade successfully attacks with his magic’s blade. When the spell takes affect the magic’s blade is then “flushed” and it can hold another spell. A Arance blade can never have more then one spell imbedded at a time.
Improved magic’s Blade: on reaching 5th level, the arance blade achineves greater control over his magic power. His magic’s blade’s base characteristics are now those of a long sword, so that it deals 1d8 slashing damage. The arcane place can use this upgraded magic’s blade just as he could use the original magic’s blade.
Free draw: At 6th level, a arcane blade can materialize his magic’s blade as a free action instead of a move-equivalent action. The arcane blade can only take one such free action a round. This is a extraordinary ability.
Magic’s Blade Mastery: On reaching 10th level, the arcane blade masers his magical control over his magic’s blade. His magic’s blade’s base characteristics are now those of a bastard sword, so it deals 1d10 slashing damage. The arcane blade can use the mastered blade just as he could use his original blade.
