the Dead empire is located on the eastern island on the moutians that go above the cloud level in the southern part of the island. in Amael.
the dead empire, as it is commonly called by everyone. is the ruins of an old empire called Dantallion. the Dantallian people mastered science to the point where they were able to build machinenes that could duplicate the highest known magic.
these people are also called the Technalagists.
The area refered to as the dead empire was the old capital city of Dantallion, it was called Dantelius.
the Empire of Dantallion was at war with a southern empire called Goetia.
in the final battle of Goetia and Dantallion, both sides decimated each other, both dealing the other side mortal wonds. there wonds to bad to continue fighting, and to bad to save themselves, the remaints of the Dantallion deicded as a final act of desperation to activate there msot powerful creation, refered to as the gate. it was a device that would be used to take creatures from other realities and bind them to there will of there technolagist masters. the decive worked, but thre controll mechanisim failed. the creatures they pulled from the other plane over ran the city, killing everything they found. Only one person survived the onslaught, his name was Saelos. Saelos saw the destruction and in a moment of clarity, he worked the great machinese of the city, and made it so the air current never came to the citys area. then in a moment of luck escaped with a small sky ship.
today the area is avoided by whatever creatures over ran it, and maybe something worse. the machine that opened holes to other realities stoped working long ago. and whatever reians in the city, should probbly remain there.
