Well's Follow (Large city 13,500)
Wells' follow is a large trading port outside of Arcitch. Well's Follow is full of marchants of every shap and color as well as a heavy group of street thugs and theives.
The City is named After the great trade explorer Well Diago. Wells' Follow was a former trading post built on top of a moantian other traders would go before heading down his route, so when you stop at this city you would be following Well.
Wells' Follow is protected by a mercenary group called the Followers, the Followers are run by a former pirate Derum Lach ( L/N Half-orc Male 8th level fighter) Darum gave up Pirating after he was betrayed by the Latillies pirate guild and lost most of his crew tens years early. Darum founded the Followers after they help fight a pirate invation of Wells Follows years ago. Derek is a tough as nails warrior who mumbles more then talks that upholds the law to the strictest level, he hates pirates above anything else and will attack one on site. Before Derek Wells' had a small defensive army made up mostly of milita members.
Well's Follow is having a problem with illegal trading getting out of hand, current two rival crime groups are fighting for control and many innocent people have been caught in the cross fire.
Maridia (Large Town 4,980)
Mirida is a freeport to all who wish to pay the slightly increased tax on docking. Mirida is ruled by a Dictator named Lomus. Not much is known of him but he is said to be a powerful wizard, Lomus also unoffically heads the local Pirate guild, he has a figure head in place of the leader so he does not get implimented politically.
Miradia is a place of oppurtunity in the right place but is often too dangerous for most Skyborn to want to travel. Marida is made up of mostly pirates who wish to call port so close to Arcitch trading routes.
Despite Lomuses intervention The Latillies pirate guild exists within the city. Lomus has Offically denouced the Latillies guild and says will not allow ships flying latillies pirate guild to dock.
Of course, Latillies pirates are very stealthy and still have a place in the city.
Agina (Small city 9,700 )
A very Strange city, Agina is a floating city that appears to be balancing atop a mountian.
Agina is a mining city that mines the mountian underneith the city outside the normal trade routes that mines mostly iron ore. Recently deposits of mythril has been discovered causing more chips to travel out of their way to get part of the profit. This boom in trade had cause the town to nearly triple in size within a matter of years.
Because of the boom a large number of pirates now scower the area looking for poorly gaurded gallies.
Agina is known for being a very seedy place because of the pirates and bouty hunters who seak profit at the heads of others,
Few Cleric groups exist because of the crime within the city but a small paladin group has been comissioned by the goverment to help restore peace to the city.
Agina is also the port to the Merchant Caviliers, a Pirate Hunting group that helps keep the skies within trading routs between Agina and Wells' Follow and has made a tity profit keeping the skys clean. The Lead of the Merchant Caviliers Rona Kazu ( N Alorian male 4th lvl Ranger 3rd level wizard) is known for being incredible boastful about his own abilities, although prefers allowing his men to fight before him.
Ziyum (Large City 17,890)
Ziyum is known as the city of the bards because of the large amount of music going on within the city, it is said Ziyum can never have enough musicians.
Ziyums streets are full of forign traders and muscians of every instrument, many oppurtunities for anyone who wants a good adventure.
Ziyum is a trading port with a very freindly opinion about Skyborn. The Leader of Ziyum, King Nacava- a former Skyborn- has sent an invitation to any Skyborn with information to trade for gold.
Recently Ziyum has gained a large minority of Frell (The Bomp clan to be exact), this has created alot of contraversy within the city over the increase of these strange frog people. The Frell have proven their worth with their knowledge of plants and strange nack of nature magic. The Frell Community within the city keeps very much to itself, however every fullmoon all Frell within the city sing together in a massive chores soley by instict. This has caused many issues within the city; many people dislike the sound completly but few find the croaking music very beautiful.
Skyborn are welcome but are a copper a dozen, most who arive arnt even given a second glance, much less a first.
Lands End (Metropolis 26,100)
Lands end is a flouting city that contains a small lake that surrounds the city.
Lands end is actually a huge bowl filled with water, thsi water constantly spills of the sides and keeps replenished by several portals connected from the elemental plane of water, the City itself is on an island within the center of the lake.
Lands End is a city known for its powerful wizards that protect its walls from pirates and other threats as well as creates new inventions and creations. Unfortunetly the large amount of magic run off created by the wizards has cause the city to become strangly warped: most street animals are now aberitions with spell like abilities, some doors tend to not always lead to their location (a house within the center of the city, if you enter in the frount door you exit out the back, if you go in threw the window you end up coming out the next window, so far no one knows whats inside the house) and every now and then inananamite objects come to life. Skyborn are welcome in this city but are warned of alley cats that breath fire, doors that take you to the otherside of the city and walls that sporatically jump out and run away in fear, people who have a fear of magic are suggested to stay away.
Kalare (Large City 16,500)
When Agina's Mythrl Boom happened Kalare was a small gnome settlement dedicated to researching magic. Now aday Kalare is a city that lives to invent and create with a steady supply of ore from its neighbor and ally Agina. Kalare is mostly made up of gnomes, dwarves and halfinglings. Very few humans live within the city and most that do are inventers that have come to make a profit.
Kalare is a montian city surronded by much follage that almost disguises the town entirly. Lands End has a small flouting rock that revolves around the top. This rock is where the original libary was before the city was built. the observatory is know a meeting place of ambassadors as well as delagets, and is also an observatoriam for the king.
Kalare is run by a group of elected senaters that represent each quaters of the city: The wizards, the inventers, the traders and the people. The leader of the Senate Bayleaf Glimshine ( n/g gnome 13 lvl wizard) is one of the first gnomes to found the city, he is an old and kindly gnome who is known for being incredible abesent minded, although his powers are none to be triflled with.
Kalare is currently within a trade war with Lands End creating more magical objects and new inventions.
Kalare has far less magic then Lands End and has almost no magical run off, although any Skyborn should worry about any new invention.
Kalare researches have been granted special permission my Arcitch to join in the expetition of the Dontellion research station, almost every day a new ship is leaving for the expition.
Zakryn (small city 10,560)
The most southern city Zakryn is a city of constant danger. MOst other nations have left Zakyrn for dead because of constant fear of its demise, still it manages to hold on.
Zakryn from a distance appears as a loan montoan that peaks above the sea of clouds surronded by complete emptiness.
The last outpost of civilization in the south Zakryn is constantly haunted by pirates, monsters and any other areal threat.
Becayse Zakryn is so far from the rest of civilization Zakryn suffers from a major metal and wood shortage, most who live within the city make due with ceramics and stone, Zakryn ships can be identified immeadiatly because they are made of clay. Zakryns royal guards have made due with the small amount of metal within the city giving rise to the imfomous Zakryn Dagger Feinds; an elite group of solders that specialize in the use of nothing more then a few daggers, Zakyrn is also known for its monk order The Bladeless Hilt which acts as a mercenary group that protects the city along with the Zakryn city guard, the bladeless hilt is run by Logok, a Frell who trains intensly under martial arts.
Zakryn is a tough city that sports many thugs outrunning the law or looking to make a few gold peices helping to defend the city against the almost constant attacks.
Zakryn was discovered to have the remenents of the Geotian Empire which dominated the region years ago, This has made the city very valuble and has caused many pirate as well as many treasure hording monsters to flock to the area to get a peice of this anceint treasure.
Arcicth has offered protection from the constant onslaught in exchange for becoming part of their empire. The ruler King Bormus Stoneaxe (L/N Dwarf 12 lvl fighter) has denied Arcitch's offer prefering to remain an open frounter town then to be part of a larger Empire.
Skyborn are not well recieved within the city because of the mass distrust of outsiders and are suggested to stay away because of the fighting that occurs.
Londil (Small city: 4,980)
One of the few halfing cities in all of Amael, Londil has been declared the "halfing capital of the world" because of the large cluster of halfinglings within one city, and also because their are no other halfing settlements within the area to dispute this claim.
Londil appears as a city full of follage with buildings that blend into the landscape raither then just burst out like other cities.
Londil is known for its great cider wine and the endless stream of stories that come in and out of every tavern. It is a custom in this city for a bar tender to offer free drinks to any Skyborn who can tell a magnificant story.
Londil is run by Queen Alli Yarntattle an elderly halfing who has a freindly temperment, always welcomes anyone into her house for afternoon tea and is known to travel to the docks to see off sailors and welcome new traders into port. Oddly enough dispite being considered a monarchy, Queen Alli was elected into office instead of inheriting the throne. This is the case with any of the past lords of Londil, if anyone brings this up to someone from Londil the person will often just shrug and say "thats just the way it is."
Londil is allied with every nation in the south by default, some nations dont even bother sending ambassadors over seeing it pointless to streagthen peace with a agressionless nation.
Londil is a great place for a Skyborn to visit and are often welcomed with open arms by these tiny, yet freindly people. despite being freindly Londil is a very boring place which often leads skyborn away.
Wallen (Large Town: 1,240)
Wallen is a small drop of civilazation in a large forest.
Wallen is a flouting island that is half the size of the Maywoods. At the fringes of the forest is the town where the people act as a care taker for the amazing forest.
The Town itself is of mostly humans, elfs and half elves but the forst boast a much larger population of creatures like Centairs, satryrs, frell, treants, farel-don and many other and many strange and mysterious creatures that hid within the dense forest so no airship can see from above.
A few years ago several of the larger kingdoms have demanded that the Wallen goverment allow the forest to be cut down for its lumber and land, so far the town and the forets residents have sworn against such an act which has caused several kingdoms to blockade Wallen.
No airships are aloud to enter Wallen's airspace, the only known way to enter is threw a Windconduit. there is also rumored to be a secret portal that leads to Treen.
The leader Anota Tyme (human N/G 8th lvl fighter) has becomed destressed over the blockade and has turned to smugglers to move supplies into the town, as well as to pay skyborn with large enough windships to ferry small amounts of supplies.
The forest is home to a druid circle called "the Crows Eye" which watchs over the forest to prevent anyone from harming the trees. The Crows Eye works with a barbarian tribe known as the horn weilders that keep interlopers out of the the forest.
