The Mareltru many years ago lived in their seperate kingdoms in relative peace.
more then three hundred years ago the evil kingdom Latillies.
The humans of lattilies despised the mareltru and attacked with the intent of whiping out their entire race.
One after another the Mareltru kingdoms fell and the survivors fled.
After many months of slaughter the Mareltru turned the tides of the war and eventually beat back Latiilles under the united following of a single Mareltru by the name of Mata who allied the remaining mareltru factions into the repulic it is today.
The main reason the goverment was set up was as a mean of creating a larger structure of power and to create a standing military to protect the joint cities.
The Mareltru republic is ruled by a group of Mareltru elders elected from each of the mareltru cities.
The mareltru's system of goverment is set up to prevent any of the larger cities from taking power from the smaller cities.
In truth Mareltru political squables are far and few between, most of the time the Mareltru spend their meetins talking about recent arcilogical digs and other event while things like trade and military support still have their place they dont often come up unless a problem arises.
The Mareltru do help support the Odon's war effort mostly by sending supplies and treating wounded, however 8 of the mareltru's 45 warships have been sent to help the wore effort.
