Amoung one of the many strange sites in Amael is a massive floating forest with a city above suspended by a giant tree.
After the coming of the curse the Elves of Ludale raised their city into the air like many other citizens of the world. Not long after the elves became sick for the forest they left behind. Using their most powerful magic they raised a large section of their forest into the sky below the watchful eye of their city. The main component for raising the forest was the tree in the center named Maywood, that holds a tremendous magic within its trunk. because of the major magical influence Maywood grew many times its own size and encompaces the city above.
Today the Maywood forest is roughly 20 miles in diameter while Ludale is less then a mile across. Most elves live in Maywood forest and use Ludale as a trading post to trade with outsiders.
The current ruler of Ludale and Maywood is King Mydian (15 lvl wizard L/N) he is a stern but fair king and only tolerates outsiders for their trading.
The kingdom's gaurd is divided between three people, each represented by a diffrent weapon:
Lylian The leader of the Ludale guard is represented by the Axe. She does not tolerate crimes commeted by non-elves, and has been noted on several occations saying racist remarks. (4th lvl fighter, 6 lvl ranger L/N)
Avolous The keeper of the forest wields the syth. He is a kind man who spends more time tending to his forest then partolling for outsiders. He shows no distain for outsiders and often invites other druids, rangers and other nature lovers into his domian against the will of the king (18th lvl druid N/G ).
Tylian is a stern and and seamingly uncaring man, he controls the fleet that protects the kingdom and wields the rapier. Tylian is actually a Half-elf which makes his bitter for much of the prejuduce he has had to endure which also made it distictly harder to raise to his rank. The reason he rose to power was his amazing skill with his chosen weapon, however many beleive he acheived his position from his father, the kings royal adivor, this fact makes him all the more bitter.
despite his angry he protects his kingdom from any outside threats and is completly loyal to his king.
Tylian shows no distain towards outside races either and has apointed several non-elves commands in his fleet simply because of their skill (14 lvl fighter L/N)
