he was cool and a showman yes but in being a showman he did alot of stupid things in the presence of dangerous animals. The creature that got him however was a complete fluke. the poor sting Ray felt traped and just happened to go through steve rather tehn the camera man. nobody deserves to die though he risked his own a great many times for the sake of entertainment. It is sad that he is dead but law of averages he was bound to get killed one of those times. just my 2cp  |

what happened to the sting ray? 
did it die upon attack?
or did they kill it cause it killed irwin

i dont know if it was posion, but i think it got him thourgh the heart. which has to suck but apperently getting anything through the heart is a pretty fast way to go.

I heard he was dead in two minutes. I also saw a webcomic paryading Pit Fall, The crocs in the pit just told the guy to walk around the pit.
