the paladin of freedom is basically a CG paladin. there are clestials that are Chaotic good. and a paladin could easly switch his abilities and alighment pre regs to fit well with a chaotic good character. paladins of freedom would be inspired by the chaotic good gods and the chaotic good planes.
i was wondering about adding these freedom paladins to nightkord as a class option for the paladin. i dont think it would screw up the paladins to bad it would just give the game another holy warrior, which i think no game should have a shortage of.
they have the crusader which can be of any alighment, same with the favored soul. i dont think adding a paladin of freedom would do too much to change the game so i might as well offer it as a base class.

My problem with the paladin of freedom is it cheapens the paladin. Being a paladin is supposed to be hard and lets face it maintaining a chaotic good alignment is no challange at all. I don't think ANYONE would pick the lawful good paladin if they could be there equal as chaotic good.

that is a really good point, acctually its an extreamly good point.
perhaps useing the paladin of freedom prestige class would be better fitting...

if it is a Prestige class it would probably be something black gaurdie where the shift was on the L/C axis rather then the G/E

I found a Paladin of Freedom variant in Unearthed Arcana. Also has Paladin of Tyranny and a Paladin of Slaughter.
