im makeing a new weapon i want you guys to tell me what you think of its balance.
the weapon is called the sickle-sword. it is an anchein mesopatanin weapon used with devestateing extent to take heads off. it is half way between a sickle and a sword. it kinda looks a little like a falchion. and i used the falchion as a base weapon for this sickle-sword.
here are the stats on the falchion
Falchion martial weapon small DMG: 1d6 Med DMG : 2d4 Crit: 18-20/x2 slashing cost: 75 gold peices
here are two seprate stats for my weapon.
i havent decided weather it should be a martial weapon, or an exotic weapon. im thinking martial, but it could be exotic too.
it will probbly end up being a martial weapon.
stat 1 the sickle-sword small DMG: 1d6 Med DMG : 1d8 Crit: x4 slashing cost: 80 gold peices
or
stat 2 the sickle-sword small DMG: 1d6 Med DMG : 1d10 Crit: x4 slashing cost: 80 gold peices
let me explain the critical, instead of haveing a huge crit range, since it was made to take off heads i figured the crit should not have a huge range, but it should just do an insane amount of damage when they hit a crit. i decided x4 crit was pretty even with a range of 18-20/x2
i know its splitting hairs, but which do you think is more balanced?

Hmm I'd say the first one, the Scythe deals 2d4 x4 critical and is a martial weapon and required two hands. (which you should have used as a based instead of the Falchion).
The sickle-sword dealing.
The second verison makes no sense if the Med DMG is 1d10 the small should be 1d8 just like a bastard sword.
