it has come to my attention that inertial fey has very strange ideas about creature types.
so i am going to go over a few things i have noticed about creature types that i noticed that he got totally wrong (or at least partially wrong)
first off, lizardfolk are humonids. so are kobolds and hobgoblins. its just most of those races have subtypes in addition to there main type. for example the lizardfolk would have the humonid type and the reptilian sybtype. humans also have the humonid subtype, so do elves and dwarfs and orcs.
infact if you read the humonid type decription you will learn that all humanoids (no expection) have a subtype.
makeing generalizations on type for dnd creatures falls really short of the realisty beacuse the humonid type is so huge.
i will also tell you the monsterious humanoid type beacuse i do think its read often enough by people (everyone) who makes races.
Monstrous Humanoid: (page 295 of the monster manual) Monstrous humanoids are similar to humanoids, but with monstrous or animalistic features. they often have magical abilities as well. Monstrous uhmanoids have good combat ability and average hit ponts and saveing throws.
Use this type (Monstrous humanoid) for just about anything that combines elements of human and animal or monster anatomy, unless it is weird enough to qualify as an aberration.
Monstrous humanoids might also include othewise humanoid creatures with odd vulnerabilities of abilities you woudn't normally find in a humanoid.
