i have recently gotten a hold of the 3.5 MM and my one prevailing thought is.
i am not doing LA in accordance with 3.5
looking threw the MM i see that d**n near everything has like player stats.
and they have things a good bit more powerful then i would have them be.
for example.
look at the stat adjustment of the Ogre +10 str, -2 dex, +4 con, -4 Int, -4 Cha
here is how i was doing it. i was thinking that each +2 in the physical stats was Balanced out with eather a -2 in the physical stats or a -4 in the Mental stats.
under that logic if you equal out the mental stats with the physical stats, this char still have a +8 spread out
think of the stats as counting by 2s
the str is a 5, then take away the 1 from the des, then add the 2 from the con, and since i was thinking that strange balance thing about the physical and the mental stats you would take 1 away for the int and 1 away for the cha.
5-1+2-1-1= 4
in my mind this makes sense,
but i know it makes no sense to any reading it.
so basically the races in nightkord are going to be a tad more powerful now that i have switched to 3.5
basically i want the chreaters in nightkord to be equal with the creaturs in 3.5
the shedora will however not have a change to it, i think its perfect.

You do remember you add the LA to the creatures Hit Dice. The ogre has 4 hit dice you add the +2 LA for a total of 6 hit dice.
So the effective character level is 6 for an ogre A creatures natural hit dice count as levels and they effect the outcome of the ECL. The savage species actually goes over the process of making an Ogre a ECL 6 character. Giant hit dice are not as good as class levels.

and that is the way i likes it!!
another thing in 3.5 it is mentioned on page 290 at the bottom
all types have a number of feats equal to 1 + 1 per 3 HD
my question is in ricks campign are we useing 3.5? and do we have that many feats in accordance with the 3.5 type feats for our dragon levels?
i honestly forgot... people jsut said "you got this many feats" i said "really?" and they replied "yeah you do dumbass now shut that mouth" then they hit me in the back of the head and did was i was told.
i never cheaked ^_^

Well I'd have to look at your sheet to be postive but I'm fairly sure you all are doing the feats right.

All PC's have one feat every three levels, including racial hit dice, it supervents the normal amount.
Feh, like dragons really need that much.
