There's a whole lot of stuff in that book that I wonder if people are going to forget or overlook. Like buying fake SIN id's and licenses to we can walk around with our various guns and stuff.

I almost past over the part about your free knowledge skill points. I found it really hard trying to find the equipment restrictions for starting characters which aside from DM approval was limtied to a rating of 6 and availibility of 12.

Do you have anything to tell us about what our characters should for sure purchance or have for the adventure?
Vehicles, madlock pass keys etc?

There's alot in that game about the legality of equipment. Many of those firearms are listed as forbidden which means there is no licence to carry those things.

you needen't bother to lisence anything you do not wish to lisence, everybody and their mother carrys even a bsic com link and if you want a vehical by all means get one. the DM even looked over the limit when he read the book and did not realize that you where limited to a 12 aval and a 6 rating till he was told so over IM and again here make sure you get 2 contacts and a lifestyle. 100 months of a lifestyle makes it periminent

of course if you are found with unliscenced or ilegal weaponry all hell will break loose

one with a connection of six and a loyality two
another with connection and loyality of 4.
I think my Troll is finished and ready to slice dice and blow things away.

I encourage everybody to flesh out their Runners with backstories as well How do you know your contacts? what where you doing before you became a runner? why did you become a runner?

Quick Draw,
I noticed in the rule book the rules for quick draw on page 137.
Basicly they they'd quick draw the pistol and fire as a single action instead of 2.
The check is a pistols+reaction test of 3. Which I guess means 3 hits.

Would you rule, I could pull a similar manuver with my sword? Perhaps with a more difficult test?

I am gonna have to think about that one.... melle follows moderatly difernt rules then ranged combat however slicing with a katana off a draw is physicaly posible... might allow it at a threshold of 5 which is nearly imposible... (4 is extremly dificult)

Just make a 5 a no, As I won't attempt that because well its not really worth it. Now I wasn't talking about say. My Troll has his arms at his side. I did mean that say his hand was already on the hilt. So say the party is sneaking around the warehouse. Or its night time in the slums. He already has his hand on the hilt, was my idea.

after reading it in detail I am gonna say that since a sword attack is a simple action I will rule that a quickdraw simple action can apply

Really? as I read that a melee attack was a complex action. Which is why I asked. Not that i'm complaining. A test of 3 is easy for me with my Katana.

I think I've got the basic combat system nailed to.

it would of course be a blade + reaction rather then a pistol and still a 3. 4 of you try to dray a gun too

One thing I noticed under the SIN ID and stuff. While it explains how a Fake SIN's verification works and how the computer would detect it as a fake. The ID's rating opposed to the verification system’s rating.
It gives very little on how good Mr X's verification system would be.

I hope those premade adventures I thought you said you found on line have some guildlines in them.

yes they tell me what rating their scanners should be it is pased of of the TR or Table Rating of the group which is a function of the Average total Karma of the group. As 0/ anything is still zero you guys are considered a TR 1. this is the number I use, along with other hiden formulary, to determin the ratings of various devices the 'enemy' will be packing

from now on im going to try and avoid getting my real sin scanned whenever possible. are there any cheak points that are beefy enough to see threw the highest fake SINs? and what are they so we can avoid them?

as you guys get better their equipment gets better. even a rating 6 sin only takes 6 hits to break though if you have a rating 6 you will be fine for a while
