i always watched subbed.
there english voices. it dosent matter how good there english voices are, when they miss the entire context of the anime itself.
like in the animatrix
in the runner ( or whatever its called ) in the english one, he is accused of useing drugs. in the japanese one, he is accused of useing drugs, beacuse he was acctually useing them before.
it changed the enitre context

i dont know if i have mentioned my faveroit anime of all time yet, but i will remedy that situation. Vampire Princess Miyu en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vampire_Princess_Miyuits about a vampire girl that is pretty much ment to destroy demons, despite being a vampire, holy things, and sunlight dont hurt her at all. he power is to make people spend all eternity ina dream like state. the only people that end up happy at the end of thoe show, are suusaly the dead ones.

While Miyu is good, Nadia is better. It's based off of an old Jules Verne novel, "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea."
Feh, both still pail incomparison to "The Irresponsible Captain Tylor."

I've recently been using NetFlix to watch anime. One I found that is really good is Mushi-Shi. It's about a guy who wanders around helping people who have been affected by mushi (strange little bug like supernatural creatures). Normally i'm all for fast paced action or silly comedy, but this one is actually fairly slow paced and episodic. So far no two episodes seem to interconnect. And yet it really works for this anime. The paces moves at just the right time to enage while the tone is perfect for being uplifting but keeps things poignant.
poign·ant [ póynyənt ] ADJECTIVE 1. causing sadness or pity: causing a sharp sense of sadness, pity, or regret 2. sharply perceptive: particularly penetrating and effective or relevant ( literary ) 3. sharply painful: causing acute physical pain ( literary ) 4. strong smelling or tasting: having an often pleasurably strong sharp smell or taste ( archaic )

I agree Mushishi is great. Another anime I found to be great is Shigurui. Watched it before Netflix had it out, but I try to show it to anyone who comes over interested in anime.
